My passion for working with children began in high school with a pediatric hospital performance group I created called Song in Our Hearts. Every month my friends and I would go room to room at Sarah Children’s Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and sing arrangements of Disney songs that I created. 

 

Throughout my four years of college, I’ve taught at multiple youth summer theatre camps/programs. My favorite teaching experience was this past summer when I had the opportunity to co-direct a youth production of James and the Giant Peach at Barclay Performing Arts. I had performed in both their youth and professional programs previous to this so it really was a full circle moment stepping in as a director. I find such joy working with children. It is the most heartwarming experience, to share my love of theatre with them and to see my passions reflected back at me in their performances.
